pringfield’s Magnet Schools are gaining recognition in the area as places where top notch education is taking place and the interest in enrolling in our schools is increasing each year. Since seats in Magnet schools are limited it is important to sign up during the Magnet Balloting period (December through the second week of January).
If you signed up during the Magnet Balloting period but did not receive a seat, you have the option of placing your child on the Wait List for a Magnet School of your choice. The Waiting List opens after Magnet Assignment Letters are sent home.
Students who signed up during the Magnet balloting period but did not receive their first choice Magnet school will automatically be placed on the waiting list for that school. They will remain on that list until a space becomes available — you do not need to reapply each year.
Since most, if not all, Magnet seats are filled during through the Magnet Balloting period, students who missed signing up may be placed on the waiting list for their first choice school. Please contact the Student Assignment Services Office at 413-787-6959 for more information.
