The US Department of Education has once again awarded Springfield a Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) grant that will provide over $11.5 million over the next 3 years to support expanded work in 3 current and 1 new school. Through this most recent round of funding, Central and Renaissance will add a STEM focus to their teaching and learning, Duggan Middle School will add Social Justice to their Expeditionary Learning work while expanding the school from a 6 to 8 to a 6 to 12 school and the school district will establish a new 6-12 Arts Conservatory in a downtown location. We are excited about these new programs and grateful that the federal government has once again supported our work to bring advanced learning opportunities to our Springfield students and families.
The mission of the Springfield Public Schools is to provide the highest quality of education so that all of our students are empowered to realize their full potential and lead fulfilling lives as lifelong learners, responsible citizens and leaders in the 21st Century.
