On June 5th, approximately 100 people attended the “Concert in the Garden and Art Show.”  Students, families and friends who attended were treated to a variety of music performed by musicians from the High School of Science and Technology band, four STEM Middle Academy singers, and Mr. Stroud’s band, The Breach.

Inside the cafeteria was transformed into a beautiful art gallery highlighting student work in different paint mediums, a variety of sculptures and models, nature cards, pen and ink drawings and many more beautiful pieces of art students produced this year under the instruction of our Art teacher, Ms. Spingler.

Mrs. Brown, PTO President, and her daughter served delicious snacks along with warm, friendly smiles to everyone attending.

Our final Community Meeting was held outside on a gorgeous June morning.  Crews sat picnic-style on blankets.  The CyberHawk Challenge was a Pasta Car Race.  Working through the Engineering Design Process, each Crew created a car entirely made from pasta!  SWAG Crew were line judges measuring distances traveled by the pasta cars down six ramps.  They determined the winner of the CyberHawk Cup to be Mr. Thomas’s Crew.  They get to hold the Cup for the whole summer. Congratulations!
