New Principal Appointed  

We are pleased to announce that David Brewster has been hired to lead the new Springfield Conservatory of the Arts Magnet School, opening in August for the first cohort of 6th and 9th grade students.  Mr. Brewster joins us from Brocton, MA where he served for the past 19 years as an administrator and teacher at the Plouffe/Gilmore Academy, an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme School.  We are thrilled to have Mr. Brewster on board leading this exciting new venture in Springfield.

School Location

For the first year the school will be housed in the former Immaculate Conception School, 34 Kopernik Street in the Indian Orchard section of the city.  We anticipate that the school will move to a location closer to downtown for the following year.

Information Evening

Parents and students are invited to attend an informational meeting at the school on Thursday, August 14th at 6:30 pm.  School and Central Office staff will be on hand to greet the incoming students and their families and provide information relating to the school’s program and activities.
